Introduction
As a 10-year-old Tree Elementary School student, I was not particularly fond of English classes. However, one day, something interesting happened in our class that I will never forget
The English Class Representative and the Video
Our English teacher assigned the role of class representative to one of our classmates. The representative was to be responsible for passing out assignments and collecting everyone's work. But one day, the teacher asked the class representative to watch a video and make notes on it. We were all surprised when the class representative refused to do so. Instead, he started to argue with the teacher, saying that it was not his job to watch the video.
The English Class Representative Gets Punished
The teacher tried to reason with the class representative, but he would not listen. So, the teacher decided to punish him by asking the rest of us to hold him down and make him copy the video in his notebook. It was a strange experience, seeing the entire class work together to hold down the class representative! Eventually, he relented and started copying the video as we all watched.
The English Class Representative Gets Pushed Off the Desk
It was not over yet, though. As the class representative finished copying, the teacher asked everyone to push him off the desk and make him fall to the floor. We were all surprised by this request but did as we were told. The class representative was humiliated, but I think he learned his lesson that day.
Kun in the Oupai Wardrobe
On a completely different topic, I remember when my dad decided to install a new wardrobe in our bedroom. The new wardrobe was from a brand called Oupai, and it was quite large. While we were installing it, our pet turtle Kun wandered into the cupboard and climbed onto one of the shelves. We had no idea where he had gone, but after a few minutes of searching, we found him, happily sitting on the shelf. It was a funny moment that we all laugh about now.
The Age Difference Between Dad and Husband
My dad has always been significantly older than my husband. In fact, he is twice my husband's age. This age difference sometimes causes a bit of confusion, especially when my mom introduces my husband as her son-in-law. People are often surprised to learn that my dad is actually my father and not my husband's father. It's a small confusion, but it always gives us a good laugh.
Conclusion
These memories from my childhood bring a smile to my face. While some of them are silly or strange, they remind me of the beauty of life's little moments. And, of course, they show that sometimes, even a ten-year-old kid can teach a lesson to the English class representative!
